Next Season

This season we have found out a lot! We have found out that Sutton did not die in the car accident and Annie is not the mom but we dont really know where Annie falls into this. We do know though that Rebecca is the mom and Rebecca and Ted did have an affair many years ago. We also know that Derek was the one who drove Sutton into the water and Alec most likely did kill Derek. But what is coming up for the next season?

           There is so much that could happen this coming season! Emma could possible find out that Rebecca is her mom. But will that affect Emma and Sutton's relationship by making them closer or hate each other more then they already do. Ted and Kristen could either be done or get back together. Rebecca could even get what she wants by getting back with Ted. There also could be new relationships. Emma and Ethan could get back together or Emma and Thayer could even start dating. And then Laurel and the guy from her band could start dating but that could make it uncomfortable for the rest of the band. Is Laurel and Justin really done though or will Justin not give up so easily? Will that be the end of Justin or will there be more revealed about Justin and his mom?

             This next season coming up could also reveal the big secret that has been hidden but there will be a lot of changes and consequences with it and hurt many people. So who will be affected by this or will the secret never
really be revealed? I think to much
information is getting out and with Alec possible going to jail who is Ted suppose to rely on? Alec can't control or hide this secret and Ted relied on Alec so much that now what is he going to do? Will Alec's kids take this as the last time they will ever trust their dad or will Mags still not believe her dad is guilty? 

Who is Sutton's and Emma's dad?

             So we now know that Rebecca is the twins mom but who is the dad? Are they wanting us to think that it is Ted or could there possibly be someone else? I think most likely it is Ted since we know that Rebecca and him did have an affair and she has a picture of him in a locket.

             But is this the big secret that Ted and Alec are hiding? If so why go to such extremes to hide this secret that has caused people to die. This also has ruined Emma's life! She had to be in foster care for her entire life while her sister Sutton is enjoying her life with their father. Talk about favoritism from day one! Sutton not only was picked to live with her real father and now is the only one who knows that Rebecca is her mother!

            The next question is why did Ted only take one twin and not the other? How could he only raise one daughter and not know how is other daughter is doing? And how could he raise a child knowing the child is his but not his wifes and not ever tell her?

            Ted, Alec and even Rebecca have gone to such extreme measures to keep this little secret a big secret from everyone. In the end I think they will realize if they would have just told the truth from the start it would have been better. Eventually the truth always comes out whether they want it to or not.

How long has she known?

        The first question is how long has Sutton known that Rebecca is her mom? She could have known this entire season that Rebecca was her mom. So was it her plan all along to have Emma, Thayer and Ethan believing that Annie was her mom? When Sutton came back after the crash, she suddenly treated Emma different. She started accusing her that she stole her life. Even before the crash she did. But was that part of Rebecca and Sutton's plan? Was Rebecca or Alec the one that sent the message that said "Keep being Sutton..or you're next." Rebecca might have sent it trying to make Emma think that Alec sent it. Rebecca's note that she got at the restaurant saying "Don't trust your date" was also on a plane white piece of paper and looked just like that one so did Rebecca send both of them?

         Emma and Sutton went to go see Annie at the hospital and after they left Rebecca came and said, "What have you done now?". How did Rebecca know that Annie was in the hospital or told the girls. The only reason Emma and Sutton knew that Annie was in the hospital was because they overheard Alec's conversation on the phone. The only way I think that Rebecca would have known was that Sutton told her.

        Then when Derek was killed Alec told Rebecca that their date was canceled because he had to go find his daughter. But was it Sutton's plan all along to have Emma innocently call Alec asking where Mags was? Once Alec was coming home after "looking for Mags" Rebecca was there. If she knew he was gone and cancelled the date she would not have showed up. I think that she knew that Alec would go see Derek and she decided to go to the house so she could say during the trial that she did go to his house. Or that she would tell them that he came home acting really weird but she just thought it was because of his daughter missing.

          There are a few more times that doesn't make sense on how they found out about it. Rebecca has been nice to Emma like when she was telling her that everything will work out and not to worry about Ethan. But Rebecca also is overly nice to Laurel. Maybe because she wants Laurel to like her so she can "replace" her mom.

          After Alec and Rebecca said "I do", the police came to the wedding to arrest Alec, after finding the weapon that was used to kill Derek in Alec's house. Dan Whitehorse was one of the police officers that searched his house to find the weapon. After many evidence and accusations thrown at Dan he decided that it was best just to search the house. I think that Dan even really believed that Alec killed Derek but just needed more evidence.

            Alec has never had to own up to his mistakes or his faults. He has always used his power to his advantage and taken advantage of someone else. But is this the end of him using people? Or is he actually going to go to jail and going to be prosecuted for his actions?

           When Emma and Thayer found that guy at the college who said that Alec killed Derek, it confirmed it for me that it was true. The picture of Alec hitting Derek also helped me believe that it was true. But what if the guy who told Emma and Thayer doesn't come up and admit it to the court? Or Rebecca doesnt shows the picture or is even able to show the picture to the court?

             I think there is a lot more we still have to find out about why Alec killed Derek. I don’t think that Derek telling Sutton and Ethan information is enough reason to be killed. I think there is a whole lot more that will be revealed, hopefully by the trial and not after he is freed.

       Now that we know Rebecca is Sutton's mom and that Sutton knows it, it makes it seem like Rebecca and Sutton are against Kristen and Emma. Since the first day Emma started living as Sutton, Sutton's family liked her better. They just think that Sutton has changed. Emma and Kristen are really close now. Kristen and Emma open up to each other about a lot besides the fact that Emma is not Sutton. I think in season three Emma will finally tell the Mercers she is Emma not Sutton. I do hope that the Mercers wont be mad at her and know that Emma is the better twin! If Emma does open up about her not being Sutton, I am afraid that Sutton will take it to her advantage and make them think that she is a horrible person.

        Now that Kristen knows about the affair she decided she needs time away from Ted. But I do hope that she won't take a long time letting him back. I think Rebecca will see this as a chance to get Ted back. Since Kristen and Emma are the better people I think that once again Rebecca and Sutton will convience them that they are sorry. And then they will use them and get what they want.

         Kristen is living the life Rebecca has always wanted. I think Rebecca honestly doesnt care if she hurts Kristen. Kristen is raising her daughter and living with the guy she is in love with. Rebecca said that everything is going to her plan. So is telling Kristen about the affair part of the plan? I hope that Kristen and Ted will catch on to what Rebecca is doing and stop her before they let her ruin their marriage.

      Sutton also is jealous of Emma. Emma has the Mercers actually getting along and liking her more then Sutton without even trying to though. Emma, to her, has stolen her family, her boyfriend and her friends. Ethan and Mads both can't stand her and Thayer doesn't really like her either. I think that Sutton is just going to play another one of her Lying Games to make Emma look like the bad one and her to look like the inocent one.

Rebecca and Sutton are trying to take Kristen and Emma's life, I hope they show them that their lying and cheating can't win. I also hope that their family and friends stick on their side and don't fall for Rebecca and Sutton's new lying game.

       Alec and Rebecca are getting married but not all are happy about this. The truth finally comes out that Rebecca and Ted had an affair. But why did he keep lying to Kristen? He had so many chance to tell her! Like when it happened or any day after that. He made Kristen feel like it was her fault that Justin's mom died. But all along it wasnt her fault. Kristen was really upset too that Rebecca told her and her own daughter found the necklace. Emma tells Ethan she is done and wants him to leave her alone. He decides to give up but his brother told him if he truly does care about her he should never give up. But Thayer and Emma are starting to get close. At the end Thayer was crying and said he didn't want to do this on his own. Emma hugged him and told him he wouldn't have to!

      Ethan and Emma were really cute together but Sutton is always in the way of their relationship. She will always sabotage their relationship. But even if Thayer and Emma start dating will Sutton now be "in love" with Thayer? She could have had either one of them but of course once they moved on from her she wants them. I think she just wants to hurt Emma because she is jealous that people like her more. I think that Rebecca and Sutton might be a lot more alike then I realized.

      I think that Rebecca is jealous of Kristen because people respect and like Kristen. And she also has the guy Rebecca loves. If she truly cared about Kristen she wouldn't have said anything about the affair the way she did. She should have made sure that Ted told Kristen first. She also should have showed Kristen that it was a big mistake and she doesn't want their friendship to end since they just started getting along. That is why the ending of the episode didnt surprise me to much but at the same time surprised me a lot!
   
        Alec got arrested and Rebecca acted all concerned but then you see her walk into a room where Sutton is looking down at the wedding scene and says, "Hi mom". Rebecca responds with "Its all working perfectly Sutton, just as we planned".   So it is confirmed that Rebecca is Sutton and Emma's mom. We can then assume that Ted is the father.
    
        But why doesnt Emma know? And what is their plan? Will Kristen take Ted back or will he be kicked out for good? Will this ruin his relationship with his daughters also? Will Emma finally tell Kristen that she is Suttons twin? I guess we will just have to wait and see when season 3 starts.

      In the last two weeks of the lying game, Sutton and her who I think to be her mom, Rebecca has been lying or playing people. Rebecca recieved a note while out to dinner with Alec. The note said "Don't trust your date!". Alec started freaking out but told Rebecca not to worry about it someone is probably just trying to get back at him. Then when they went to lunch she got a text and acted really worried. He grabbed her phone and looked at it. It was a picture of Alec hitting Derek. Alec again just tried to tell her not to worry about it. But the entire time Rebecca seemed like she was expecting to get the picture and the note. She seemed like she was happy and it seemed like she was getting back at Alec. I think she or she has someone else spying on Alec so she can use things against him. Thayer and Sutton were told by Rebecca's old maid that she has a locket with the guy she has always been in love with picture and she went back to Phoenix for him. When they heard that they assumed it was Alec but later when they found the locket there was a picture of Ted. But Rebecca is now engaged to Alec? The only reason I think they are getting married is so Rebecca can find out more about Alec and use it against him. Alec is probably just marrying her so he can keep her close and watch her so she can't ruin this secret of his.

       While Sutton and Ethan were at his dads house hiding she kept trying to win him back. She knew what she was doing while she was there and finally was able to get him to kiss her back. When he was in jail she went to talk to him, pretending to be Emma. He admitted that it happened and it was a huge mistake and never will happen again. She got mad and said that she slept with Thayer so he would be mad at Emma and take her back. Sutton once again didn't care that she hurt her sister or the guy she supposedly loves. She just wants what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get it.

      Ever since we found out that Ted accidently killed Justin's mom in surgery Kristen and Ted have been fighting. Kristen feels like it is her fault that Justin's mom died since he said he got a phone call. Ted just kept blowing it off and not answering. Kristen started to get suspicions that Ted was cheating on her with Rebecca. Ted finally talked to her and told her that their doctor called him telling him that he was sorry but they weren't pregnant. Kristen was relieved that he was not cheating but still feels like it is her fault. I think that Ted is either lying or still not telling her the whole truth. If he is lying it is a terrible thing that he is making his wife feel bad. But when they hugged his face seemed like it was more of a relief look that she believed him. I still believe that this phone call was about the secret.

Who killed Derek?

             When Annie told Sutton that “The Snake” crawled out of the water Emma and Sutton decided to try and figure out who the snake is. Annie wasn’t really able to give them a good description of who “The Snake” was when they went to visit her in the hospital.

        

           After we saw the car accident I always had suspensions about Derek. Everyone was at the Sutton’s party but Derek. Back at school when Emma went to confront him about breaking up with Char at first he acted really weird. When she first went up to him he started getting nervous, “I am sorry, I didn’t mean to.” But once he realized they weren’t talking about the same thing he said “Oh, are you talking about Char?”

         Ethan and Sutton saw that Derek had a tattoo of a snake on his wrist. They went to confront him at his work. He admitted that he was the one in the car. “It wasn’t suppose to end like that. I was suppose to just take you to a parking lot but you freaked out and went into the water.” Derek then picked up a tire iron and hit Ethan. Ethan then punched Derek really hard making him fall on the ground. As Derek was getting up, a car was pulling in. Ethan and Sutton ran out not seeing who it was. The next day Derek was found dead. Ethan was pulled over that night and a police officer saw Ethan’s hand and with his reputation he is being accused. Dan, Ethan’s brother told him to leave town and he will try and figure out who did it.

           I think that Alec had something to do with Derek’s Death. Alec cancelled his date with Rebecca and came home late. He said that he was going to go find his daughter who was supposed to be at the library but was not. He didn’t find her and just came home. If he were supposedly as worried as he said he was he would have called the police and kept searching till he found her. Why would anyone want to kill Derek other then Sutton? Derek was getting up when they were leaving. The places Ethan punched Derek on his face are very unlikely to cause him to die. Alec on the other hand has motive to kill Derek! Derek started telling Sutton and Ethan information. Alec could have killed him because he didn’t want them to find out anything else and reveal his secret.

          During Derek’s funeral Emma and Alec started talking about Derek and how it is a tragedy that he died. “You did a lot for Derek didn’t you? And he did a lot for you?” Emma said.  Alec became very defensive asking her what she was talking about that she should be careful who she accuses. He then starts saying that he finds it awful weird that she cant remember to much of that night, but the problem is, is that Sutton was there and she wasn’t. He tells her that he doesn’t think that Ethan did it and that he should come back. 

         If Alec says he doesn’t think that Ethan did it then why is he accusing Ethan? I think he is just saying that because he wants Ethan to come back so they don’t investigate to much into it and find he had a part in it. Also if Alec didn’t kill Derek then why was he so defensive when Emma asked him a simple question? He also turned it around on Emma/Sutton not allowing her to ask to many
questions. Alec is right that it was a tragedy that Derek died because he died for no reason! Alec is being selfish letting people getting hurt or killed just for this secret. Wouldn’t it be better to just let the secret out instead of always worried about it and hurting people?

Characters

Emma Becker- Emma is Sutton’s twin. She lived in Las Vegas, Nevada with a foster mom and her foster brother. But she does not get along with them at all! Emma has lived in 12 foster homes over her entire life. Emma is really sweet and down to earth. She would do anything to just live a normal life. When Emma finds out that she has a twin sister she runs away from home to go and meet her. Ethan and Thayer are the only ones that know about her and the switch. Emma is my favorite character because she really cares about others and is sweet. Sutton is always seeming to hurt Emma but because Sutton is the only family she has she forgives her every time. I always feel bad for Emma when Sutton hurts her because she really just wants a sister and doesn't deserve what Sutton does. I do hope that Sutton will realize that Emma has always been there for her and she needs to stop treating Emma badly. 

Sutton Mercer- Sutton is Emma’s twin. She lives in Phoenix with her adopted parents (Ted and Kristin) and her sister.  She gets whatever she wants and more. Sutton doesn’t get along with her family. She is really mean, lies and manipulates to get her way. Sutton has a boyfriend, a secret boyfriend and uses her best friends brother Thayer. When Sutton finds her twin sister she decides to switch places with her so she can go find their mother. She was almost killed in a car accident, when her car was driven into the water. She was saved by Annie Hobbs who she believes to be her mother but finds out that she is not. Sutton is Jealous of her twin sister Emma because her family and friends like Emma better. Even though they dont know that they switched they all believe they like the knew Sutton. This angers Sutton, so she tries and makes Emma seem like the bad one.

Ted Mercer- Ted is married to Kristin and  is Sutton’s adopted father and Laurel’s real dad.  He is best friends with Alec Rybak and is a doctor at a hospital. Ted is a very honest and respected man. He loves his family more then anything but is hiding something from them. Ted and Alec have a big secret that no one but each other knows. He and Alec are always acting very secretive. I think it has something to do with Sutton and Emma and their adoption. I think that Ted might be Emma and Suttons real father. Ted killed Justin’s mom by accident in surgery but wont forgive himself. Once he finds out that his daughters boyfriend is the women he accidentally killed, some secrets start to come out, which starts to scare him and Alec.

Alec Rybak- Alec is Thayer and Mads father and Sutton’s godfather. He has been best friends with Ted Mercer since they were in school. He is an attorney but uses his job to keep his secret a secret. This secret and job has been put before his children, making their relationship not very good. Alec has helped many people get out of jail but they have a price to pay for it. I think the price is to help keep Alec’s secret a secret. Making them do jobs for him so he can't get in trouble for it. Alec's secret is affecting so maybe peoples life in all kinds of different ways. 

Thayer Rybak-Thayer is the son of Alec and brother to Mads. He has always liked Sutton but she doesn't feel the same way. She often uses Thayer, which ends up hurting him and ruining their friendship. Thayer helped Sutton when she went to California looking for her mom. Thayer was living in California because he does not get along with his father. Thayer gets tired of Sutton always using him! I think that in the end Sutton is going to lose a lot of her friends if she keeps using people. Thayer is a good guy and would do anything for Sutton but I don't think he is always going to be there for her. 

Ethan Whitehorse- Ethan was Sutton’s secret boyfriend. He has a bad reputation and doesn’t have any friends. He lives with his brother in a trailer. When Emma got to Phoenix he figures out that she is not really Sutton. He is the only person that knows that they switched places. Ethan decides not to tell anyone about the Emma’s secret and decides to teach her who her sister really is. After a little while Emma and Ethan start liking each other, which makes Sutton really mad. Ethan has had a rough life but really cares about Emma. I feel bad for people like Ethan because he is a good guy but people automatically judge him. People just assume things about Ethan but they don't know the real person. Ethan right now is being accused of the murder of Derek Rogers. I hope that they will find the real killer and that Ethan doesn't have to go to jail for something he did not do.  I do hope that he won't let Sutton get to him and won't believe the lies he tells her.  

Derek Rogers- Derek is on probation and has been sent to jail many times. Alec decided to help him by getting him out of jail but he has to pay a price for it. He had to date Char so he could find out things from the girls. Alec had suspensions that Sutton wasn’t really Sutton. Derek was really good to Char and I think he could be a good person but he always is seeming to get himself into trouble. Derek ends up dying because I think he was telling Sutton to much information. Even though Derek is not the best person in the world he does not deserve to die. Derek probably died because of Alec and Ted's secret. Derek is just another innocent victim in this secret.

Justin Miller- Justin is Laurel Mercer's boyfriend. Justin just moved here because he wanted to go to the school here to play golf. We ended up finding out in this and last season that Justin is in foster care because both his parents died. Justin's mom died because Mr. Mercer let someone finish up a surgery which ended up killing her. I think that all Mr. Mercer owes Justin is an apology and to make sure he is okay. Mr. Mercer got a phone call during the surgery. I think that the phone call was again something to do with the secret that Ted and Alec have. Justin mom should not have died and it is not fair that Justin had to lose his mom when Mr. Mercer could just have taken his time and finished the surgery before he had to take the phone call.

Ann Rebecca Sewell- Ms. Sewell now goes by Rebecca, now that she is back. She moved away to California and decided to come back and put the past behind her. Her and Alec are now starting to date. Alec thinks that if he dates her he can keep an eye on her. I think she knows the secret that Ted and Alec knows and I think she could possible be the mother of Sutton and Emma but did not want to keep them or was forced to give them up. I also think that she is pretending that she is going to be good and not give away Ted and Alec’s secret but I think she has a plan to let the secret out. I also think her sister (Char’s mom) Phyllis knows the secret too and that is the reason why she is drinking so much. I think this secret has effected Rebecca more then we know. Since we don't know what she knows or why she left we don't know yet how much this has affected her but I think we will be finding out soon. 

Annie Hobbs- Annie was believed to be Sutton and Emma’s mom but in the second season we find out that she is not the mother. Annie’s daughter died and she over heard someone giving up twins so she tried to get both but she could only get Emma. She said that she didn’t see who their mom was, she only overheard her. I think she is lying, that she actually did because Alec is keeping her in a psych ward and after she told the girls that, Rebecca comes in and says “Oh Annie, what have you done now?” I think that Annie also knows the secret but is being forced to keep her mouth shut. In season one there was pictures of Annie, Alec and Ted in an old photo album of Teds. Therefore I think Annie was part and does know about the secret but is being forced or is scared to tell the girls. I don't think we will be seeing much more of Annie for a while until more comes out. I hope that Annie is not being locked up in a psych ward just because of this secret, that it is actually because the death of her daughter because no one deserves to be locked up for no reason.
